To continue delighting our customers and partners with a variety of furnishing and storage solutions in the future, we’re always looking for dedicated employees. We consider training our own young talent a particularly important component. In close cooperation with our partner, Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences, we offer high school and technical college graduates the opportunity to complete a “Studium Plus” program.
Enrollment at the university and employment contract
“Studium Plus” is a full-fledged college degree plus work experience. You’re enrolled at the university and have a study contract with our company. This blend of theory and practice gives you an ideal start to your career. You’ll learn the theoretical content at various locations in Biedenkopf, Wetzlar, Gießen or Frankenberg.

Breidenbach, located in the beautiful and close-knit hinterland of Marburg-Biedenkopf, is our headquarters and the heart of our company, where you’ll find management, sales, controlling and our own logistics.

Gotha
Our new robot manufacturing facility has been located in the fifth-largest city in Thuringia since 2023. Gotha is our center for innovative manufacturing, and a crucial hub for our entire production.

Ramona Petri – Industrial Clerk Apprentice
Hello, I’m Ramona and I live in Weidenhausen near Gladenbach. I’ve always enjoyed working with computers, and I loved my school training as an office assistant, so I applied to be an industrial clerk at C + P. After the second interview, I was thrilled and certain that this was where I wanted to do my apprenticeship. My enthusiasm continues to this day, thanks to the diverse departmental tasks, the generally varied training and the friendly team culture.
How I start my day
Since beginning my apprenticeship in September 2022, my mornings have been pretty consistent. I wake up and start work at the same time every day. I really like this routine because it means I don’t have to rush in the mornings. The flexitime policy gives me a bit of flexibility when I need it.
Pure excitement
On my first day, I was very nervous, but that quickly faded thanks to the warm welcome I received from my friendly colleagues. In my first year, I got to know my training company well through meetings and by asking lots of questions, and I continue to learn more each day.
I’ve also improved my customer interaction skills. I was a bit shy at first, but over time, I developed a routine in conversations. Currently, I’m working in inside sales, where I write quotes, process credit notes and assist in customer service. Before that, I gained initial experience by helping in purchasing, warehousing and order processing.

Niklas Burbach – E-Commerce Clerk Apprentice
Hey! I’m Niklas and I live in the beautiful town of Dietzhölztal. My interest in photography and filmmaking initially led me to apply as a media designer at C + P. During my second interview, my current boss offered me an apprenticeship as an e-commerce clerk. A few days later, after familiarizing myself with the role, I signed my apprenticeship contract, and I’ve been more than satisfied with my choice ever since.
Interest in digital marketing
My morning routine is stress-free, thanks to the flexitime policy that allows a flexible start to the workday in our company. I’ve been an e-commerce apprentice at C + P since September 2022. It’s a company that perfectly aligns with my interest in digital marketing and e-commerce.
Every day, I enter our young department in a good mood, greeted by friendly faces. In my first year, I had the chance to work mainly at our subsidiary, where I gained valuable knowledge in e-commerce and grew personally. My responsibilities include product maintenance, product uploads and managing social media ads.
Taking on responsibility
Since the end of my first year, I’ve been actively involved in the launch of our new website and online shop. My main task is creating content for the pages. Occasionally, I also support the marketing team with images, videos and events, such as participating in the LOGIMAT trade fair, where I documented our booth with photos and videos.
Because my apprenticeship is relatively new, there are only a few vocational schools in Hesse that offer it. This means I regularly travel to Bad Hersfeld (155 km away) for two to three weeks at a time. There, I deepened my knowledge of e-commerce during my first year of training.
Action!
Even after my workday, video production remains one of my hobbies. I’ve been passionate about enduro and motocross riding since childhood. I first sat on a racing bike at age four and started filming my rides at 15. I’ve participated in many competitions in Germany, Austria and Belgium. My enthusiasm for cinematography has enabled me to support C + P in creating video content.
Seeing the world
I also love outdoor adventures like climbing and am always ready for spontaneous road trips. Traveling is one of my great passions, and I aim to see as much of the world as possible while I’m young. My apprenticeship allows me to work from virtually anywhere, which perfectly aligns with my ambitions.
From apprentice to success story: The career paths of our former apprentices
Lukas Zimmermann – Team Leader E-Commerce
Hi, I’m Lukas, 25 years young, and since 2022, I’ve been working as a team leader at BIGBOXX, a subsidiary of C + P. I began my career in 2019 with an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, which I successfully completed in 2022.
One team – endless possibilities
After my first six months of apprenticeship, the incredible dynamism that C + P offers its employees became clear: Due to my enthusiasm for e-commerce, I moved a few doors down to BIGBOXX. From my first day there, I’ve been able to fully commit, leverage my strengths and continually develop. I’ve been a team leader since January 2022 and am proud of our team and everything we’ve accomplished together so far.
Responsibility from day one
What else do I appreciate about my work? I can act independently and was able to accept responsibility early on. During my time as an apprentice, we completed a full relaunch of our shop and inventory management system. As the project manager, I found this work incredibly rewarding. Currently, our team works together closely, and I actively support the new C + P webshop. In my free time, you’ll always find me on the move, preferably doing strength and martial arts training or enjoying the outdoors.
Laura Werner – Industrial Clerk Apprentice
Hi, I’m Laura and I’ve been with C + P for nearly a decade now. It all started in 2014 when I decided to begin my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. After successfully completing it in 2017, my career has continued to evolve ever since.
Post-apprenticeship, pre-career
After completing my apprenticeship, I was able to apply and expand my strengths in order management starting in July 2017. My daily tasks included order processing, managing master data and customer items and implementing a new system for automatic data entry with my colleague Steffen Künkel.
Step by step
Five years later, I took the next step forward: I became the team leader for data entry, which increasingly allowed me to apply not only my technical skills but also my social skills. But things didn’t end there – exactly one year later, my responsibilities expanded. Today, I am the team leader for both data entry and inside service.
Creating a personal balance
It’s crucial to strike a good balance between work and personal life. I find mine in my dogs and nature. Juggling two active dogs and a full-time job isn’t easy for many, but my employer makes it effortless for me. Flexible working hours and remote work offer me the best ways to reconcile my professional and personal life. I also appreciate having a job close to home in our beautiful region, allowing me to support our local community.
Timo Becker – from apprentice to plant manager – C + P “stalwart”
Hi, first of all, I still feel too young to claim the title "stalwart" for myself. But in essence, it’s true – I’ve been on board with C + P for almost 30 years now. To be precise, since 1994, the first year of my apprenticeship. Incidentally, my father was also a C + P employee; he worked in element construction.
Diverse experiences and connections
I’ve witnessed a multitude of changes in Breidenbach from various perspectives. I’m a native of this region, born here, and at C + P, I’ve progressed from apprentice to foreman, then master, and now to my current position as plant manager, essentially experiencing all development stages within the company. I’m proud and happy that in Breidenbach, I can truly rely on the support of all of my co-workers day in and day out.
The cat man
In my spare time, I primarily work on running our cat care business. My wife and I have been operating it since May 2015. It was difficult at first, and we had to establish many workflows together. But what can I say, the effort has paid off. Our customer base has now grown to over 2,500 clients.
