Gießen Hazard Prevention Center

After nearly a decade, we’re proud to reflect on a completed project that sets new standards in the firefighting industry: the Gießen Hazard Prevention Center.

Working together toward a common goal

A project of this size – nearly 250 lockers – requires experience, perseverance and teamwork! The collaboration between our key account manager and our partner in Gießen laid the cornerstone for successful project management.

What were the requirements?

The project required not only fire department-specific steel lockers that enabled the separation of work- and streetwear, but also individual locker solutions for storing personal clothing. Our company’s unique strengths played a crucial role here and enabled us to provide a comprehensive solution that satisfied all of our customer’s needs.

The success story continues

This project has a sustained effect! First of all, the Gießen Hazard Prevention Center made headlines as an innovative construction project among firefighting professionals nationwide. Second, this building is not only home to the local professional fire department but also serves as an education and training venue for countless volunteer fire departments. Hundreds of firefighters from all over the region have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment when they visit the center.

Brief profile of the Gießen Hazard Prevention Center (GAZG)

With a total investment of nearly 40 million euros, the Hazard Prevention Center, which was built in the fall of 2023, is one of the largest, most prestigious new building projects in the region. Built on the site of a former US depot in Gießen, it is home to the local professional fire department, the Office for Fire and Disaster Protection and the control center for the city and county of Gießen.
