10-year warranty
When purchasing a product made by C + P Möbelsysteme GmbH & Co. KG via a dealer/retailer in the European Union, the buyer has guarantee rights that are not affected by these Terms of Warranty.
The manufacturer C + P Möbelsysteme GmbH & Co. KG provides an additional 10-year warranty on cabinet products advertised with this warranty.
The extended manufacturer’s warranty is only valid for the initial buyer and is not transferable. The date of invoice marks the start of the warranty period. The manufacturer’s warranty extends to countries within the European Union.
In non-EU countries, the respective legal provisions regarding guarantee apply. Any general warranties beyond this on the part of the manufacturer are unfortunately not possible due to the complexity of reviewing and processing. A concession by the manufacturer in form of a goodwill gesture can only be considered in individual cases.
Should material or manufacturing defects be found in the purchased product during this period, the manufacturer, as the warranty provider, will offer one of the following services at its discretion within the scope of this warranty:
- free repair of the product or
- exchange of the product for an equivalent item free of charge
- freight and transport costs up to 2 years after delivery (after 2 years C + P Möbelsysteme GmbH & Co. KG reserves the right to charge freight and transport costs).

Excluded from our warranty are claims for damage to the product due to:
1. improper use,
2. incorrect handling or misuse (e.g. overloading, excessive swinging of doors against the stop, …)
3. inappropriate transport,
4. failure to follow the operating manual (available on www.cp.de),
5. failure to comply with applicable safety precautions and/or load specifications,
6. use of force (e.g. deliberate overloading, vandalism, forced entry, dropping),
7. attempts at repair on own initiative,
8. disassembly and reassembly of products by the customer, e.g. for the purpose of relocation/room changes, etc.,
9. special designs/modifications explicitly requested by the customer,
10. components installed/fitted by the customer themselves or by a fitter commissioned by the customer (faulty assembly),
11. unusual or extreme environmental influences (intense heat, high humidity/moisture, outdoor use, damage caused by room cleaning, etc.),
12. cleaning of surfaces with cleaning agents that are not recommended by the manufacturer,
13. normal wear and tear (we can only pass on the Terms of Warranty/Guarantee provided by our suppliers for parts subject to wear including, but not limited to: lock systems, pull-out rails, roller guides, fastening elements, and the natural fading of varnished surfaces),
14. electrical components.
Prerequisite for making a claim under warranty is that the warranty provider is able to evaluate the warranty claim (e.g. through sending in of the item, documentation of the product defect, e.g. photographs or video, permitted access for assessment purposes). The item must be securely packaged to avoid damage during transit. A copy of the product shipment invoice must be supplied when making a claim, so that the warranty provider can check whether the goods are still within the warranty period. The warranty provider may refuse to honor the warranty if the invoice is not enclosed. The name and address of the seller must also be provided if this information is not listed on the invoice copy.
If the warranty provider finds that the reported defect is not covered by the warranty, C+P Möbelsysteme GmbH & Co. KG reserves the right to charge the expenses and costs incurred for assessment and conclusion to the person submitting the warranty claim.
Important note: This manufacturer’s warranty does not limit your statutory rights in the event of defects and you may exercise these rights at no cost to you. Any valid statutory warranty rights asserted in relation to us are not affected by this warranty. Consequently, this manufacturer’s warranty extends your legal position without infringing on your statutory rights.
If the purchased item is defective, you can always contact us in the context of the statutory guarantee, regardless of whether a warranty claim exists or the warranty has been invoked.
