This convinced the jury of the German Design Awards. In their statement, they said: ‘Thanks to its extensive range, the “C + P SmartLocker” system offers individually configurable locker solutions that enable a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications, perfectly combining modern aesthetics with functionality.’

In short: with the C + P SmartLocker, a piece of furniture is entering the stage that takes modern demands for function, efficiency, flexibility and added value equally into account and serves them in an unprecedented form.

The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the design landscape across all industries. Since 2012, the German Design Council has been identifying significant design trends, presenting them to a broad public and honouring them with awards. Every year, outstanding submissions in product design, communication design and architecture are selected.

During the nomination process, companies whose products have proven to be impressive in terms of design quality are invited to participate. In order to reflect the diversity of design culture, the German Design Award is divided into the categories ‘Excellent Product Design’, ‘Excellent Communications Design’ and ‘Excellent Architecture’.

Since 1953, the German Design Council has been the world's leading centre of expertise for communication and knowledge transfer in the field of design, branding and innovation. With international offerings, support for young talent and memberships, it is part of the global design community. Its membership currently includes more than 350 companies.

The official presentation of the German Design Awards will take place on 3 February at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt am Main.
