(Breidenbach, 1 August 2025) Effective 31 July 2025, the furnishings division of the CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER Group, including its subsidiaries, was sold to the Dutch investment company Nimbus Group. The construction division, which includes its own steel fabrication facilities, as well as the inter-company training centre, will remain part of the group and continue to be owned by the founding families.

The decision to sell is the result of an intensive transformation process. With Nimbus, an experienced investor is taking over—one that specializes in the long-term and sustainable development of medium-sized industrial companies. Nimbus currently holds majority stakes in 23 companies. As part of the transaction, the existing management of the furnishings division under Tomas Kirschenfauth will remain in place, as will the C + P brand.

We are, and will remain, a strong and experienced partner in industrial construction.”

Tomas Kirschenfauth, Managing Director of the Furnishings Division, is also optimistic about the future: “The acquisition by Nimbus opens up new strategic opportunities. We are building on what has proven successful and complementing it with fresh momentum. Our brand, our products, and our locations will all remain in place.”

The sale of the furnishings division marks a significant milestone in the 100-year history of CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER. At the same time, it opens up new opportunities and provides stability for customers, partners, and employees.

As a medium-sized family-run company, the CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER Group, founded in 1925, combines two economically independent divisions under the umbrella of a joint holding company: construction and furnishing in steel. The furnishing division produces and distributes steel lockers and furnishing solutions for changing rooms, workshops and offices – from small craft businesses to large corporations. With effect from 31 July 2025, the Dutch investment company Nimbus will take over the furnishing division under new ownership, while the construction division and the training centre will remain within the CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER Group.
